Join us for this 4 week pop-up animation workshop co-taught my animators from CalArts and ArtCenter College of Design.  Class will be Tuesdays and Fridays (4P-7P).  On Fridays, bring the whole family for a movie night! We will watch an animated film and learn about the process of creating it.  Open to all ages, although class will be taught at an introductor level.  May 8 - June 2.

This 30-week media arts program, held twice a week, is for middle school students (ages 10 to 14). The class covers drawing, painting, animation and media arts. Students learn drawing and painting techniques, and how to draw from a model, animate, put together an art portfolio and create artwork on computers. The program culminates in a public exhibition and screening of the artwork produced by the students. This program is part of the Sony Pictures Media Arts Program, a partnership between the CalArts Community Arts Partnership, the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Filmmaking equipment and supplies will be provided.
